Weekend On-call Food Service Associate

Immanuel Communities is seeking aPart-time Food Service Associateto work at Deerfield located at 13731 Hickman Road, Urbandale, IA 50323. Deerfield has 122 independent living apartment homes, 32 independent living patio homes, 20 assisted living, 24 residential care apartment homes and 30 long-term care/skilled nursing suites. This is an on-call position and will primarily be scheduled shifts on Saturdays and Sundays for 7:00am-2:00pm, 10:30am-2:00pm, and 4:00pm-7:00pm, to include holidays, so flexibility is required. Minimum age of 18 is required for this role.

This position will pay up to $18.31/hour (straight pay/no tips). Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education.

What You Will Do

The primary responsibilities of a Food Service Associate include assisting in patient tray line assembly and related duties such as loading, operating, and cleaning the dishwasher. Assists in the service of meals to cafeteria patrons and operates the cash register. Also maintains the records, inventories, surveys, and other controls relevant to the cafeteria.

Skills & Requirements

Previous food service experience in a long-term setting is preferred.

Must be 18 years of age or older
For cafeteria duties, cash handling experience preferred.
